The good news comes with all the fans of the United States Landon Donovan are expected to start against Canada tomorrow. Donovan missed the friendly defeat to Spain over the weekend, but the sight of him working out of Detroit Lions training complex on Sunday, is certainly a positive sign.
Prior to that, Donovan lost two days of training, and now the man himself has been declared fit for tomorrow's opening clash against Canada.
"I was breathing pretty hard but I feeling pretty good and would expect to be fine by Tuesday," said Donovan.
Meanwhile, Benny Feilhaber who made the USA's 2-1 victory over Mexico during the Gold Cup in 2007 will compete against Canada with an injury. His replacement is expected to become Alejandro Bedoya, which featured on Saturday against Spain.
