A local court on Friday directed the police to register a new per-Men married actress Genelia D'Souza and five directors of real estate firm for allegedly cheating customers by "failure" to build a duplex house at the edge MANDAL Maheswaram city.
In his complaint before the Court of First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate here, one Tirupathaiah Ch, alleged that the firm, whose brand ambassador Genelia had, "failed" to build a duplex house, however, he had paid Rs 54 lakh towards some of the plot-cum-house in their enterprise.
Tirupathaiah said the firm had promised Sujith Reddy, managing director and other directors to build a duplex house on the plot in 2008, which, according to him is not, to date.
"Being on the firm's brand ambassador, Genelia also made false promises by advertising and brochures and other co-accused with corruption," the plot buyers Tirupathaiah counsel claimed on Balaji Vadera.
The court ordered Saifabad police investigate the matter and also a case against Genelia and five others for offenses of cheating and relevant sections of IPC registered.
